Mirza Dinnayi Arrives in Armenia

Yazidi activist will meet with local community and visit Artsakh

The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative is happy to announce that Yazidi activist Mirza Dinnayi, 2019 Aurora Prize Laureate and Co-Founder and Director of Luftbrücke Irak (Air Bridge Iraq), has arrived in Yerevan. Mr. Dinnayi plans to attend several events before travelling to Artsakh and will remain in Armenia until December 11, 2020.

Aurora continues helping people of Artsakh and announces an international fundraising campaign for the people of Artsakh under the auspices of #AraratChallenge

The global Aurora Humanitarian Initiative continues to provide direct assistance to the people of Artsakh affected by the war who are now in Artsakh and Armenia. Twenty direct aid projects have already been confirmed, with a total budget of AMD 102 million ($200,000). The projects are implemented in partnership with charities and non-governmental and governmental organizations working locally. Applications are being accepted at [email protected].

Aurora Continues Helping People of Artsakh: Fourteen Projects with a Total Budget of More Than $110,000 Already Confirmed

The global Aurora Humanitarian Initiative continues implementing the humanitarian assistance program for the people of Artsakh affected by the war. First Aurora Humanitarian Aid Projects for Artsakh Announced

The global Aurora Humanitarian Initiative’s direct assistance project for the people of Artsakh started today, on November 18, 2020. The following projects were announced as the first to be selected:

1. Assisting in the emergency evacuation of the population of 7 villages in Martakert Province (Nor Maraga, Nor Аygestan, Nor Seysulan, Nor Karmiravan, Nor Haykajur, Nor Jraberd, Hovtashen) –$10,000

2. Contributing to providing meals for 166 people housed in Sevan, Dilijan, Yerevan for 15 days (in cooperation with the Victory-2020 Foundation) – $10,000

Aurora clarifies the procedure for providing humanitarian aid to people of Artsakh

The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative continues clarifying the criteria and procedure for providing assistance to the people of Artsakh affected by the war and who are now on the territory of Artsakh or Armenia. It will be remembered that applications to [email protected] began to be accepted on November 18, and during this period more than 130 applications have been received. The first 5 applications for a total of $34,050 have been confirmed and the funding process for them has begun.

BREAKING: AURORA begins implementing humanitarian programs for people of Artsakh and opens applications for projects

The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative urgently begins to assist and implement humanitarian programs designed to help children and adults affected by the war in Artsakh. The first assistance programs will be announced today, November 18, 2020.

Nominations Close for the 2021 Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity

The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative has announced that the nomination period for the sixth annual Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity has ended on October 31, 2020. This year, hundreds of submissions have been received, resulting in 585 unique candidates being nominated for the Prize.
